The banquet was excellent, with good food and great service in an inspiring setting. The only slight flaw was that the introduction of the general was so long the general had to cut his talk short so people could get to the buses. On Friday afternoon, after the ceremony at the monument, one of the buses taking people back to the hotel for the dinner buffet had a flat tire. They were able to get most of the people on the second bus, but five of the leadership group were stuck with the first bus while it waited for a tow truck. Lon called me, since I had a rental SUV, and I went back to get them. Jim May had to ride in the cargo area, but they all managed to pile in and get back to the hotel in time for dinner.
