These 155mm self propelled cannons were awesome to see and hear in action. Invariably they would get a fire mission every night at dinner. If you were walking along with a plate in hand when they shot, you sometimes lost the plate. Notice also the very fine dirt on the ground. This was formerly dense jungle, but a few weeks of tracks driving around soon killed all vegetation.
