Dennis Fiehler with Ape, in Dau Tieng

I transfered from A Company in May, 1969 and was assigned as the
XO of 25 th Division Replacement Detachment in Cu Chi until departure from RVN in
September, 1969.I was the Company Commander of a basic training company at Fort Polk,
Louisiana until December, 1970.

I’m sorry I haven’t posted my photos before. The memories are still pretty vivid, and especially
those of the great guys I served with in the Triple Deuce. Also, I’m extremely thankful that
Captain Crocker was my CO for almost my entire tour with A Company.

I also hope everyone reads
Ruth Crocker’s book, Those Who Remain, as well as Peter Langlois’ sister’s book, Combat and
Campus. For the record, I was diagnosed with the same agent orange related cancer
(Waldenstrom’s macroglobulinemia) that took Peter’s life. My treatment gave me 15 years of
remission before I was diagnosed in early 2022 with a type of AML that’s caused by one of the
drugs used to treat Waldenstrom’s.

I pray for all the Vietnam vets fighting these diseases.
